Steve Connors

Steve Connors is a human and was raised on the planet Draack Elka, a Hellworld. He's currently part of a group of Idiots who are adventuring through space

Early life

Growing up on Draack Elka:

Steve’s life was not easy growing up, he lost his parents to a pack of Grimplesnatches when he was only 8. Luckily living on Draack Elka you are raised to survive on your own, this gave him the skills to survive when no one else would help. This meant stealing and hunting for food and water. When he was 12 he joined a gang and learnt when people were trying to get more out of him than they deserved, this meant he was often fighting other members of the gang and quickly climbed the ranks. At the age of 15 he had become the leader of the gang after dethroning Robert Johnson over an incident with a local girl, after a year of him being in charge he noticed the members of the gang had been talking privately amongst themselves and whenever he tried to join the conversation all went quiet. A few months later what he had predicted was about to occur and one night gang came against a staged a coup, he was to be cast out due his reckless ways he accepted this as he was bored of this life anyway so went back to living on his own and managed to get a job at a vacc suit repair shop in town. A couple years later a military recruitment vessel came to the planet looking for plucky volunteers, Steve seized the opportunity to travel and escape this hellworld and enlisted in the marines.

The Marines

Marine Academy:

The Academy didn't go well for Steve he had a nasty habbit of always thinking he was right and ignoring what the instructors were telling him to do, often times this led him to still complete the task asigned but in way that benefited himself more than the team. Inbetween his classes he started to get more interested in vacc suits seeing as he already had worked with them a bit back on Draack Elka he figured he'd see what the military editions of vacc suits had to offer and soon found himself valueing the condition of his vacc suit over his gun (the opposite to what he was trained and what his classmates were doing). After a few years of somehow scraping through every test given to him the instructors grew exasperated and decided they would have to design a test for him so difficult no one would pass and they could finally be rid of him. They knew Steve wasn't the best in social situations a decided to give him the test of making the rich family marines do some work, however the instructors had made a mistake and had only told Steve that the between the group they had a certain number of tasks to complete and not that they had to complete them as a team, so as per usual Steve saw the loop hole and just completed most of the tasks himself and the others just happened complete another couple. After the test was done the instructors at this point didn't care, they didnt want Steve or the marines from rich families in the academy anyway so they failed the whole class and subsequently had them fail to graduate.
